John Paul Schultheis, 37, of Newburgh, IN passed away Monday, February 9, 2026 at Heart-to-Heart Hospice in Evansville, IN. He was born September 15, 1988 in Edgewood, KY to Paul Ray Schultheis and Rebecca Lynn (Bigham) Schultheis. John worked as a heavy machine operator for Metzger Construction Company, in the asphalt division. He enjoyed reading a good book, taking a motorcycle ride, and shooting guns with his dad. John was taken too soon and will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca L. Schultheis and niece, Emily Rose.
John is survived by his father, Paul Schultheis; children, David Lee, Brittney Lea, and NovaLea Rose; mother of his children, Jennifer; grandchildren, DJ and Oakley; aunts, Rose Pearson and Frances Greenwell; sister, Shainna Whited (Nick); nieces and nephews, Lauren, Lindsay, Jacob, Sam, and Lilliam.
A graveside service will take place 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 21, 2026 at St. Joseph Cemetery in Princeton, IN with Pastor Donnie Truelock officiating.
